Kaleigh Sims is the Director of Regulatory and Environmental Services at a large water resource recovery utility in Greenville, SC (ReWa). She has over 10 years of experience in the water sector. Her background is in stream ecology with a master’s in environmental toxicology, but she has worked in many sectors of water from drinking water, stormwater, and wastewater to assessing environmental risk. Her role at ReWa focuses on strategic planning initiatives for ReWa’s environmental laboratory, pretreatment program, environmental compliance, and natural resource departments. Kaleigh oversees the big picture projects that help ReWa protect human health through monitoring and compliance but also protect the environment through environmental compliance and long-term natural resource planning. Natural resource protection is deeply engrained in Kaleigh’s passion for the work that she does day in and day out.
